Random Acts of Kindness!
The last few days was yet another Trial, to say the least. No food but a few canned goods and we were Thankful for that, but I still developed a horrible headache that would not go away! I became so sick by yesterday evening as my headache slowly transformed into a migrane and the nausea was upon me. I posted something about it on facebook about hunger pains and a terrible headache and was going to take a nap, and Once Again, Some Angels appeared and sent us a little so we could Eat!
It is because of "These Angels" that we have survived this far! It has been over two Months since we were evicted and we have only slept in the car Once since we have been "Homeless" and that was mainly from these Angels that were sent to us! We had paid a couple of weeks ourselves and The Jeremiah Tree helped us for a few days also, Whom are also Angels, but most of this was from my Wonderful Friends from Facebook!
I am So Truly Blessed to have them in our lives! We had Nobody that Cared other then a Dear friend that I grew up with and a Good Friend of my Husbands, who, in spite of him being in just about as bad shape as we were, still helped move things into my friends garage, which they allowed us to keep our important belongings that we saved before we had to be out of the house, and that was it! We had No Help to move anything out of the house, except for Our things. and we could not afford storage or a UHaul.
Although my husband got a job soon after we were evicted, The Car problems started. First the Brakes went out and we had no money to fix them, then another Angel helped us with the brakes, but it took awhile to finally find someone to fix them, so my husband had to let his job go. We finally did, and got that taken care of, so my husband called his job and told them that he had the car fixed and asked for another chance, and they hired him back after a few days. Then the Car started shaking and getting hot. We did not want to warp the heads. We had to keep water in it and still do, Once again, he had no choice but to let his job go again. His job is about 10 miles away in the next town over and could not drive it that far with it overheating and leaking water. A few people finally looked at it, including a mechanic shop, and said it was the water pump. but turned out, his friend made arrangements for us to take the car to his friends house, who works on cars all of the time, and we found out that there is a leak in the radiator. So Car problems have been involved alot through this time, and this has been why my husband has had a hard time getting and keeping a job. Obstacles in our path.
During this entire time, we have encountered Random Acts of Kindness that has helped us with gas, to get to local appointments and pantries and such, with food so we have not gone hungry much. With Prayers, Encoragement and Love that we so Deeply needed! This has helped us through so far and We are So Grateful for everyone who helped us!
We are still in bad shape and we Was so hoping to be caught up by now, but due to these Obstacles and a few bills that Has to be paid, a car Title loan, and court fines, plus car issues, It has been Very Difficult to Get Back on our feet!
Our first goal is to be at a point where we can pay a whole month here at the motel at once. It ends up being Cheaper then daily or weekly but we have not been able to do that yet. Once we get this car fixed and my husband gets a job again, we can pay off these other bills and work out Bi-Weekly Payments to the motel. We racked up high Utility Bills when my husband lost his job at the house, so the Motel life is our only option at this time, since we pay no utilities here.
Tomorrow is Our Last day here! We will be living in Our Car! This is yet Another reason why we Need to keep the car running, so that atleast we wont be, "Literally" on the streets! Once the car goes, so does our shelter!
